The Howland Training Center offers three comprehensive CPR training courses: Heartsaver AED, Heartsaver First Aid, and BLS for Healthcare Providers. Our experienced instructors combine a proven curriculum with years of real-world experience to deliver the highest-quality training available.
Course Descriptions
Heartsaver AED
This course trains individuals in CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants. Participants will learn proper use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and how to respond to choking emergencies. The Heartsaver AED course is scheduled on the same days as our Heartsaver First Aid classes for added convenience.
Heartsaver First Aid
The Heartsaver First Aid class includes all content from the Heartsaver AED course plus comprehensive instruction in basic first aid procedures. This combined approach ensures participants are prepared for a wide range of emergency situations.
BLS for the Healthcare Provider
Designed for healthcare professionals and those entering the healthcare field, this advanced course covers CPR for adults, children, and infants, AED operation, and ventilation techniques using advanced airway devices. While primarily intended for healthcare workers, this course is open to all members of the public seeking enhanced emergency response skills.

Payment Information
- Check Payments: Make checks payable to “Howland Training Center”
- Cash Payments: Must be exact amount (no change will be provided)
- Credit Cards: Not accepted at this time
Important Policy
- All payments are final upon registration. No refunds will be issued.
- American Heart Association requires a minimum of 3 students to hold a class. If the minimum is not meet by registration deadline then the class will be canceled. Any preregistered students will be notified and any prepayments refunded (the only time refunds will be issued).
