The Howland Police Department is dedicated to working with our community to enhance quality of life through crime prevention, law enforcement, safety promotion, and fear reduction.
Our History:
Founded in 1961, the department began with part-time constables appointed by the township trustees. These early officers laid the groundwork for today’s department, which now includes a Chief, Assistant Chief, 18 full-time officers, and 1 administrative assistant.
