As warmer weather arrives and more residents enjoy time outdoors, we would like to remind everyone that ATVs, UTVs, side-by-sides, golf carts, mini-trucks, and other low-speed vehicles are NOT permitted on public roadways within Howland Township, except as otherwise authorized under Ohio law.
While these vehicles can be enjoyable and useful on private property, state laws regulate where and how they may be operated.
This reminder is intended to help keep our roads safe for motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists, and families enjoying our neighborhoods. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with applicable laws before operating any vehicle on a public roadway.
The Howland Township Police Department will continue to address complaints and enforce traffic laws to ensure a safe environment for all.
